Identify the business behind each task
Record who sells, surveys, installs and services the lift. Those roles may be handled by different businesses. Ask which party you contact for a fault and whether they support the exact proposed model at your address.
Separate warranty from maintenance
Ask what scheduled maintenance is recommended, what it costs and whether it affects warranty coverage. A parts warranty does not necessarily include labor, travel or emergency attendance. Request exclusions rather than relying on a headline promise.
Ask about the later years
Discuss parts availability, battery replacement, optional service plans and eventual removal. Do not assume a seller will buy equipment back. If an offer includes removal or buy-back, obtain its conditions in writing and keep them with the original installation scope.
Keep the proposal comparable
- Exact equipment and a measured rail layout.
- Preparation, installation, demonstration and written terms.
- Servicing at the actual address, parts and removal responsibilities.
